Palace in Spain

In an article lamenting the closing of the offer to Chinese clients, by Canada, to allow residency, the South China Morning Post has said that the Spanish Residency project could be very interesting to buyers from China.

Reflecting what we have said regarding the Spanish Residency project, they feel that the minimum spend of 500,000 Euros will not be an impediment for those wishing to get residency outside of China, to complement their nationality. Interestingly, they note that what Chinese investors are generally interested in are yields on their investment rather than the fact that they can live in Spain itself. Comparing commercial property yields with Hong Kong means that Spanish yields look extremely attractive.

They also focus on the fact that Spain is a gateway country for people setting up businesses within the country as there are excellent trade agreements in place with many countries in South America. Also, Spain is the second largest tourist market in the World meaning it is possible to diversify the portfolio and maximise yield from the investment of over 500,000 Euros.

We have known most of this for some time of course but it is good to see that there is now a recognition on behalf of reputable publications around the World.  The Spanish Golden Visa offers an excellent opportunity to get into one of the Schengen area countries allowing a great lifestyle and also excellent capital appreciation possibilities, rental yields and more for savvy investors.

If you are looking to relocate or even just to acquire the Spanish Residency Visa and you are from China, don’t hesitate to contact us and we will be happy to guide you through the process whether you are looking for an individual property, commercial real estate opportunities or a portfolio of property to make up the 500k.
